ghee (clarified butter)used in the process of vamana/virechana is harmful?
in pnchkarma ghee used is made up of cow's milk.it contains omega fatty acids known to reduce cholestrol (especially LDL). it can some time increase HDL to a milder degree but this HDL is good for heart. so there is nothing to worry about.
again one point is, when the ghee is taken properly during vamana/virechana your weight decreases by atleast 2-5 kgs.so in no way it seems to me that it can cause any harm.
